Harvest fun, vineyard dinners, and small-town magic await.
As the heat of summer starts to ease, fall fun is just getting started in Missouri Wine Country—and there’s no better place to experience it than Augusta. From vineyard picnics to live music, petting zoos to gourmet dinners, the Augusta Harvest Festival is one of our most vibrant weekends of the year. And guess what?
We still have a few rooms available at The H.S. Clay House Bed & Breakfast—but they’re going fast!
Harvest Festival Weekend – September 20–21
If you’ve never experienced fall in Augusta, this is the weekend to come. The town comes alive with small-town charm, great food, and fun for all ages. Here’s just a taste of what’s planned:
-
🏃 Fun Run
-
🎉 Parade through downtown Augusta
-
🐐 Petting Zoo + Bounce House for kids
-
🎶 Live Bands & Local Wine all day long
It’s everything you love about fall, all packed into one weekend.

Augusta Harvest Dinner – Saturday, September 20 at 6 PM
Join us for a cozy, elegant dinner at Schultz Haus Vineyard to celebrate the season. Hosted by the Augusta Chamber, this outdoor dinner pairs local flavors with wine and conversation. Space is limited!
Washington Farmers Market – Every Saturday
Looking for something to do while you’re in town? Make a morning trip to the Washington Farmers’ Market, open Saturdays 8 AM to 1 PM through October.
You’ll find fresh local produce, handmade goods, and even the Sprouts Kids Club, a fun way to introduce little ones to healthy, local food while shopping with the family.
Looking Ahead: Fall & Holiday Fun
The fall fun doesn’t stop with Harvest Weekend. In fact, October and December are some of my favorite times to host guests at The H.S. Clay House.
👻 Halloween in Augusta brings all the small-town charm—think porch lights glowing, trick-or-treaters roaming, and festive fun without the crowds.
🎄 And come December, the Christmas Walk transforms Augusta into a Hallmark-style holiday dream. Twinkling lights, warm drinks, horse-drawn carriage rides… but more on that soon.
Stay tuned—more details coming in next month’s blog!
